This kitchen remodeling project removed two walls to completely open and brighten the kitchen. New installations included cabinetry, granite backsplashes, under-cabinet lighting and a vent hood.
The new counter separating the kitchen from the adjacent family room is custom designed and made of butcher block with an 16-inch overhang and no visible supports. A unique recessed iron frame was designed to provide invisible support.
In order to retain the historic character and Spanish style of this 90-year old home in the Monte Vista neighborhood, we completely redesigned the face of the garage with custom mahogany doors and Spanish style roofing and columns.

These vent hoods were installed along with new cooktops to blend with the architectural lines of the kitchen design. Both homeowners are friends in the Stone Oak neighborhood.
Cooktops were converted from electric to gas, a challenging process in many cases. Backsplash was refinished with stylish stone selected by the homeowners. And a Potfiller was installed in one of the kitchens (view images left).
